Please remember to keep your head down when they make you crawl through barbed wire clutching a bible with live machine gun fire going over you!

I just stumbled on to your blog and am very interested to hear about your experiences in seminary as well as preparing for Army Chaplaincy. Are you planning on going Active Duty? I have yet to meet an Orthodox Chaplain and am thankful we have one coming to the Orthodox Soldiers. I look forward to more of your blog and hope I will run into you someday in the Army world. I am not sure if you have prior Army experience, but I would be happy to answer any questions you might have about general Army life or good/bad experiences with chaplains.

Mark,

Thank you for your message and kind words, and it reminds me that I really need to start writing more on my blog. I am planning on staying the Army National Guard for the time being, although I have certainly thought about going active duty. I was enlisted for four years in infantry and cavalry units, and it seems like everyone has some Chaplain stories :-). It has certainly been an honor to serve God and country. I enjoyed skimming your blog and it seems like you have had an interesting journey as well. Take care!
