Iraqi Prisoner Abuse

In November I posted about suspected abuse at GTMO, and complained about the media possibly overstepping the bounds. Not so here. Obviously sadistic acts of torture are wrong and should be condemned. How can we have any type of moral highground if we behave no better than our enemies?

It's About Time

The Pentagon is sending a retired General to Iraq for a "full review." I supposed after embarassing questions that Defense Secretary Rumsfeld received a few weeks ago about the troops' lack of equipment, he is finally getting the message. I'm not one of those Democrats that is rooting against Bush in Iraq, but we need to be realistic about the situation.
